Copy Learning Paths

Administrators, Course Instructors, and Training Managers with permissions can create copies of learning paths. This is useful if you would like to add one or two courses to a learning path to support a different group of employees.

Navigation: UKG Learning > Academy Workspace > Training Admin > Manage Training > Learning Paths

1. Locate and select the learning path to copy.
2. On the Learning path Panel, select Edit Learning Path
3. Select Copy Learning Path.
4. Choose the elements to copy with the learning path. The following elements can be copied:
   • Learning path image
   • Badge
   • Courses
   • Events
   • Polls

5. (Optional) Create new instances of the learning path courses. If selected, the courses of the copied learning path will be independent of the courses in the original learning path and progress is not shared. Leave this box unchecked if you want the progress in the new learning path's courses to mirror the progress in the original learning path.

   Example:

   • Learning path A is assigned to a user
   • The user completes all courses within the learning path and gets 100% learning path completion

   If you copy learning path A and assign it to the same user without checking the Create New Instances of the Learning Path Courses box:

   • All courses within learning path A COPY will automatically be completed with the same completion dates as learning path A
   • The learning path A COPY will also automatically be completed with the same completion date as learning path A
6. Select the Copy Learning Path button.

Note:

• Copied learning paths will be set as private by default and they will be added under the "Without Category". Feel free to adjust the learning path settings if needed.
• Copying a learning path is not an instant action and takes time depending on the system load at the time the copy process starts.
• You can copy a learning path either in the same academy or to another one. However, learning path events are not copied from one academy to another as each event (learning path-connected or standalone) is directly associated with the academy's organizational structure.

Learning Path Copy Notifications

Administrators can turn on notifications for the start and completion of the copy process.

Navigation: UKG Learning > Academy Workspace > Notifications > Academy > Courses & learning paths

1. Locate the Your course or learning path has been duplicated notification.
2. Turn on the Real-Time notification (In-App & Mobile) toggle.
3. (Optional) You can also receive email notifications about when the copy process has finished. Turn the Email notification toggle on.

You will see a pop-up notification when the copy process begins. The process will be completed in the background, and you will receive another notification stating that the process has finished. Select the pop-up notification to go to the new learning path page.

Note:
If you are copying from one academy to another please check that the notification settings are activated in both academies.

• If you copy a learning path from Academy A to Academy B and the email notifications for Academy B are off, then you will not receive an email stating that the copy has finished.
• This applies to the in-app notifications as well. If you copy a learning path from Academy A to Academy B and the in-app notifications for Academy B are off then you will not receive the relevant notification stating that the process has finished.
