Navigate Within a Group

A Group is a social tool that allows members to discuss topics and share resources outside the training process. If you are a member of a Group you may have several options to interact with the other Group Members, if your Group Administrator has set up these options.

Navigation: UKG Learning > Social Workspace > Groups > All Groups

The Group List has all the groups you belong to as well as groups you can join. Select a group to open it.

Group Feed

The Group Feed is a place to post updates and share your messages. Messages may contain text, emojis, useful links, images, and files. You can also schedule a post by selecting a future publishing date. Select Post when you are finished.

Note:

  • The length limit for each post is 5000 characters, including the HTML markup.
  • Your post may need Administrator approval before being posted on the Group Wall. If this is the case you will receive an in-app notification. Once your post is approved you will receive an email notification.

When a post is live on the Group Wall, you can comment on it and tag other Group Members. Just add your comment and select Post. You can also react to the post by selecting the Emoji icon.

Threads

Threads allow you to have conversations or gather feedback from other group members about specific topics. Select the Threads tab to see all existing threads or create a new one if your Group Administrator allows you to.

Start a new thread by selecting + Create thread. Add a title, enter your text in the First Comment box, and select Post.

To open an existing thread, select it by title. Here, you can add a new comment or comment under another member's comment. You may also have the ability to edit or delete your previous comments if your Administrator has set up this option.

Resources

Select the Resources tab to browse the Group's Resources and leave a comment on content items. You may be able to upload content to the Group by selecting the + Add button and selecting which option you want to upload: Online resources or Files

Polls

Under Polls, you can respond to any Polls that the Group Admin has created for you. Select Take Poll, select your response, and Save.

Details

Under Details, you can see information about the group, such as when it was created, which Academy it is hosted in, the description, the admins, and other members.

Leave Group

To leave a group, select the Leave Group button.
