Skills Management helps you better understand your employees and leverage their capabilities. Each skill can be connected to a course or a job, so you can track how training impacts each employee in their job.
Administrators can activate the Skills Management feature.
Navigation: UKG Learning > Academy Workspace > Settings > Development
- Expand the Skills Management Module and then select Skills Management.
- Move the toggle to on. Now you can customize the Skills module.
-
Customize the Types of skills you want to have in your Academy. The different skill types can further define each skill and also use as filtering options, to help you find the needed skill faster. The default metric type is Skill. For example, another Type you can use is Competency.
- If you want proficiency levels for the skills in your Academy, move the toggle to yes. Proficiency levels work as a way to set a standard understanding of what levels are needed to reach proficiency in a skill. They help you achieve a common view for each of your skills. You can set as many levels as you need to. There are four default, customizable levels in the platform. Once you have set the proficiency levels, you can add a description for each one.
- Select Save when you are finished.
