After you have created a course, you might need to add new lectures or update the existing lectures. You can make these changes without affecting the progress of the employees who have already completed them.
When you are in the management page of a course, you can change your settings by selecting Step Management on the right.
Manage Lecture Progress
Navigation: UKG Learning > Academy Workspace > Training Admin > Manage Training > Courses
- Locate and select the course.
- Select Step management from the Course panel on the right.
- In the Lectures Progress section adjust the setting to manage course progress for learners who have already completed the course.
New lectures
- If Yes is selected, the new lecture will be marked as completed for the users who had already completed the course. So, by accessing the Employees' dashboard and by hovering over the indicator icon you will be able to see why the course was automatically marked as completed.
- If No is selected, the course progress will be updated even for the users who had completed the course in the past.
Lecture updates
- If Yes is selected, the updated lecture will be marked as completed for the users who had already completed the lecture. By accessing the Employees' dashboard and by hovering over the indicator icon you will be able to see why the course was automatically marked as completed.
- If No is selected, the lecture progress will be updated even for the users who had completed the lecture in the past.
Note:
- The Manage Progress settings do not work retroactively. You should apply the settings before adding or updating a lecture.
- The Maintain Progress functionality considers two key factors:
- The date and time the lecture was added or updated in the course: The system references when the lecture is incorporated into the course structure, rather than when it becomes visible to learners.
- Whether the learner had completed the course at the time the lecture was added or updated: The learner must have a course completion recorded before the lecture was added or updated. If the learner had not completed the course at that point, there is no existing progress to preserve.
