Edit an Automated Assignment Rule

Existing auto-assignment rules for courses and learning paths can be edited as requirements change.

Navigation: UKG Learning > Team Workspace > Training Rules > Assignment

Select the tab for Courses, Learning paths, or Microlearning, depending on the training type.
Locate and select the desired training.
Locate the automated rule you want to change.
Select the pencil icon. You are redirected to the By criteria page for the rule.
Make the desired changes.
Select Assign Now and Set Rule.

When the new rule is set, the old auto-assignment rule is erased, and, depending on the changes made, the users assigned through an older version of the rule may be affected.

Users assigned through an older version of the rule, but who still match the criteria of the current rule, continue to be considered as part of the rule. This respects the “Unassign when criteria are not met anymore” setting.
If “Unassign when criteria are not met anymore” was checked in the old version of the rule, users assigned through an older version of the rule but who don’t match the criteria of the current rule are immediately unassigned.
Users who do not match the criteria of the new rule will be unassigned regardless of whether they have completed the course. The versioning process does not evaluate course completion status. Therefore, the unassignment will occur solely based on the updated rule criteria.
