Leaderboards add friendly competition to your academy. The more active one is, the more points are earned. The more points earned, the higher the rank on the leaderboard.
Activate Leaderboards in Your Academy
As an academy administrator, you have the choice of whether or not you'd like a Leaderboard for your academy.
Navigation: UKG Learning >Academy Workspace > Settings > Social > Gamification > Leaderboards
- Turn the toggle On.
Navigate To and Hide Leaderboards
Seven different leaderboards are already available for your academy: Discoverer, Collector,
Influencer, Team Builder, Learner, Social Folk, and Instructor. These leaderboards cannot be deleted but can be hidden. You can also build custom Leaderboards for your academy.
Navigation: UKG Learning > Social Workspace > Game Center > Leaderboards
Several leaderboards have already been created: Discoverer, Collector, Influencer, Team Builder, Learner, Social Folk, and Instructor.
- To hide a default leaderboard, select the More menu (three vertical dots) and select Save as draft. Leaderboards in Draft status are not visible to learners, do not collect points, and do not count towards the Academy Score in a learners profile until they are made active.

If the default leaderboards do not meet your needs, you can create custom ones.

Notes:
- Points in Leaderboards are awarded only to actively participating users. If a user joins a leaderboard after it has already begun, they will start accumulating points from the time they begin participating.
- Points are recorded exclusively while a Leaderboard is Active.
- The activities must have at least one role with non-zero points.
- You can add as many activities as you need.
- Many activities when performed provide points to multiple members, depending on their role. For example, when a member completes a course he earns points as a Learner but at the same time, you can choose for the Instructor of the course to earn points as well.
- In many activities (such as Complete a SCORM Lecture), you have the option to define the points that should be awarded per minute as well as the max points that can be awarded.
- Points are only allocated for one activity at a time. If there are two ways to get points from the same activity, you'll only earn the highest awarded points. For example: if you earn 5 points for completing a course and 10 points for earning a skill awarded for completing a course, you'll only earn 10 points total.
The Weighting factor setting of a leaderboard acts as a multiplier that determines how the points earned from that specific leaderboard contribute to the overall Academy Score. If this value is set to 0, the points awarded in that leaderboard will not be included in the total Academy Score, as they will be multiplied by zero.
