You can easily share content with others in the Learning solution. To share content with the Academy Resources you can:
- Add a URL
- Upload a file
Navigation: UKG Learning > Team Workspace > Resources
Add a URL
You can add pages from other websites. These pages are simple references; nothing from that site is uploaded into your Resources. Examples include YouTube or Vimeo videos, articles, and blogs.
- Select Add URL.. A pop-up window opens.
- Enter the URL into the space provided.
- Select Fetch. A pop-up window opens.
- Fill in the required Title and Category fields. Only Categories where you have permission to add content are available as options.
- (Optional) Add a Description, Tags, and a Language.
- (Optional) Administrators can set an expiration date, after which the page will be moved to deleted items. Select the Delete Course Files Upon Expiration checkbox to also remove the item from all connected courses after the expiration date.
- Select Save.
Note:
You can share this URL with one or more academies or groups you may be a member of, and have the authorization to share content with. You can also put this URL directly into a course you have created as a lecture, or into a learning path or an event as Supplemental Material.
Upload a File
You can add documents, videos, SCORM, and AICC files from your device directly to your Resources. You can upload one or more files from several different sources.
- Select Upload File.
- Select the desired source from the left column.
Note:
Uploading files to the Resources that cannot be previewed or opened within the Learning solution or added to courses as steps is not supported. For example, .zip files that are not SCORM files cannot be opened within the platform and therefore should not be uploaded. - Follow the prompts for your selected source.
- After the upload process ends, you are taken to the Files in Process page to wait until your file has been converted.
- To cancel the file conversion at this stage, hover over the window and select the X icon.
- To cancel the file conversion at this stage, hover over the window and select the X icon.
- Fill in the required Title and Category fields. Only Categories where you have permission to add content are available as options.
- (Optional) Add a Description, Tags, and a Language.
- (Optional) Share the file with groups or put it in a course as a lecture.

- Save your file.
Note:
- You can share the URLs/files you upload with one or more academies or groups you are a member of and have the authorization to share content with. You can also put these URLs/files directly into a course you have created, as a lecture, or into a learning path or an event as Supplemental Material.
- You can add subtitles to an uploaded video by uploading a subtitle file (.vtt, .srt).
- When a file is uploaded directly as a lecture within a course, it is stored only in that course and will not appear in Resources. If you want the file to be available both in Resources and as a course lecture, select both options in the Uploader window during the upload process.
