Update Training Material Across Multiple Courses

You can update training material across multiple courses directly within your Resources.

First, ensure that the training material (lecture or bonus content) you want to update has been added to your courses from the Resources.

Navigation: UKG Learning > Academy Workspace > Training Admin > Resources

  1. Find the training material you want to update.
  2. Select the Resource.
  3. Select Replace File. A pop-up window appears for you to choose a new file.
  4. Once the file is updated, select Update under the Actions menu. A pop-up window opens.
  5. Select Update course file

    Important:
    The Replace file option only updates the item in the Resources. It does not automatically apply changes to versions of the file in existing courses. You must select Update course file to have the updated file reflected within the course.
     
  6. (Optional) Add a reminder notification that the content item is updated after the specified period. Select Save when finished. Manage these notifications in Academy Workspace > Notifications > Reminders > Training (General) > A resource needs to be updated
  7. Select Next
  8. Use the check boxes for each course where the material should be updated.
  9. Select Update,

Note:
Sometimes, a specific course no longer appears when selecting the Update Course File option. This happens if the file is updated directly within a course lecture using the Update option.

When this happens, the system creates a standalone version of the file within that lecture, removing its association with the original Resource item. This ensures that the lecture maintains its own dedicated version of the file, specific to the course context.
