Badges can be used to celebrate achievements, mastery of content, or congratulate a peer on a job well done. Once created, Admins, Training Managers, and those with managerial jobs can award Badges to other team members.
Administrators can create badges by default and can permit Training Managers and Employees to do so as well.
Badge Settings and Permissions
Admins can create badges by default. They can also decide if Training Managers should be able to create badges.
First, we want to make sure that badges are enabled in the Academy.
Navigation: UKG Learning > Academy Workspace > Settings > Social
- Expand the Badges section.
- There are five types of badges in your academy. Turn on the ones you want to use.
- Corporate badges
- Learning path badges
- Course badges
- In-class event badges
- Virtual event badges
When the badges are enabled, set the permissions for creating badges by either job or role.
When you have the Badges turned on and the permissions for creation and awarding badges set up as you'd like, you are ready to create badges.
Create Badges
Selected users can create badges for your academy.
The Badges page is visible only to administrators, Training Managers with the Create corporate badges permission, job roles assigned the Create Badge permission, and custom roles that have been granted the Create badges permission.
Navigation: UKG Learning > Social Workspace > Badges
Here, you get an overview of all current badges in your Academy.
- Select the + Create Badge button.
- At the Name field, enter a name for your badge.
- At the Description field, enter a short description of your badge; for example, the criteria for receiving it.
-
