Award a Badge

Administrators and managers can award virtual badges to academy members to signify a job well done. These badges appear in their profiles and ePortfolio.

You have two options for manually awarding badges to your academy members:

  1. Award a badge to specific members
  2. Award a badge to a collection of members based on their job and location

Award a badge to one or more individuals

There are two ways to award a badge to a specific employee; either from the Social workspace or from the member's profile page.

Award a badge from the Social Workspace

Navigation: UKG LearningSocial WorkspaceBadges

  1. Locate the badge you wish to assign from the list.
  2. Select the Award Badge button for that badge.
  3. Select the recipients By person or By criteria.
  4. Select the Award badge button.

Before selecting Award Badge, the badge preview image appears in grayscale. This is the intended design, indicating that the badge has not yet been awarded. Once you select Award Badge, the badge displays in full color along with the indication "Badge awarded". Badges also appear in color on both the Badges screen and the user’s profile.

Award a Badge from the Users' Profile

Navigation: UKG Learning > Academy Workspace > Academy Admin > Organization > Manage Team Members

  1. Select the profile of the user you want to award a badge to. You will be taken to the member's profile page.
  2. Select Award a Badge. A pop up window opens.
  3. Select the desired badge.  Then click Award Badge to award the badge. The user will get a notification that a new badge has been awarded

Note:

  • You can award the same badge to a specific user more than once. Find more details for the dates that a badge was awarded by checking the Badges Report in the Report Builder.
  • You can see which badges users earned on their profile. If you have reporting permissions for this user, you can also see who awarded them this badge.
  • The Badges page is visible only to administrators, Training Managers with the Create corporate badges permission, job roles assigned the Create Badge permission, and custom roles that have been granted the Create badges permission.
