Managers can assess the skills of learners within their organizational structure if an academy administrator has granted them the appropriate permissions. Managers with access to assess learners can complete manual assessments at any time.

Manual Assessment
Managers can complete manual assessments at any time to evaluate the skills of learners within their organizational structure.
Locate the learner you want to assess and select Select. You can limit the results by using the available filters or search for a specific learner.
On the Individual Assessment page, select the appropriate tab (Current Job Skills, Followed Job Skills, or Other Skills). Use the Skill Group, Skill Category, Skill Type, or Job filters to locate the skill you want to assess, and then select Assess.
Select a rating, optionally add a comment, and then select Save. The page refreshes and displays the updated Skill Score.
Additional Options Overview
Skill Score
The Skill Score displayed for each skill is calculated based on your academy's configured Assessment Settings. It represents the weighted combined score from online training and manager assessments.
Assessment History
Select Assessment History next to a skill to review previous assessments for that skill.
Current Job Skills
This tab is always displayed and is selected by default. It displays skills related to the learner's current jobs that are visible to you.
In the Proficiency Level column, select the information icon to view details about the available proficiency levels.
Followed Job Skills
This tab is displayed only when the Career Paths feature is enabled. It displays skills related to the learner's followed jobs.
Other Skills
This tab is always displayed. It displays academy skills that are not associated with the learner's current or followed jobs.
Notes
- When a skill is associated with both the learner's current job and a followed job, it appears under both Current Job Skills and Followed Job Skills.
- When a skill is associated only with the learner's current job, it appears only under Current Job Skills.
- When a skill is associated only with a followed job, it appears only under Followed Job Skills.
- If no skills are associated with the learner's current job, the Current Job Skills tab displays an empty state.
- When a skill is assigned by an administrator but is not associated with the learner's current or followed jobs, it appears only under Other Skills.
- When an administrator-assigned skill is also associated with the learner's current or followed job, it remains in the applicable job skills tab and does not appear under Other Skills.
- Skills assigned by an administrator display an Assigned by Admin tag.
- Select a skill name to view additional details, including its description, type, category, group, and associated job information.
- Skill names longer than 50 characters are shortened. Hover over the skill name to view the full title.
- The Skill Group and Skill Category filters may include groups or categories whose skills are not displayed under Current Job Skills.
Assessment Settings
Assessment Settings determine how Skill Scores are calculated by defining the weighting between online training results and manager assessments.
