When reviewing a learning path under Learner Workspace > Training > Catalog > Learning paths, you may notice that a learner sees “0 courses,” even though courses are correctly added under Learning path content > Courses.
This usually happens when language settings are not aligned.
Why this happens
Each learning path and course is assigned a language. Each learner can also select a preferred language in their profile.
When a learner opens a learning path, the system compares:
Learning path language
Course language
Learner profile language
All three must match.
If they do not match, the learning path may appear empty. For example:
The learning path is set to English.
The courses are set to English.
The learner has not selected a language in their profile.
In this case, the system may display “0 courses.”
Ensure courses display correctly
Follow these steps to align language settings.
- Set the learning path language to match the course language.
Example:
If the courses are set to English, set the learning path to English. - Confirm the learner’s profile language
Ask the learner to:Open their profile.
Select a preferred language that matches the learning path and course language.
Keep language settings consistent
Use the same language across:Courses
Learning paths
Learner profiles
Consistency ensures courses display correctly.
Best practice
To prevent this issue:
Confirm that each learning path language matches its courses.
Require learners to select a preferred language in their profile.
Aligned language settings ensure learning paths display all assigned courses correctly.
