The Courses Mass Assignments Completions template enables organizations to manage course assignments and completions in bulk. However, limitations apply when working with external courses.
When assigning external courses
The Courses Mass Assignments Completions template does not support assigning external courses.
Use one of the following methods instead:
- Manual assignment (individual or advanced assignment)
- Automated rules
- Learning path assignment
- Onboarding profiles
This limitation applies to all external course types, including:
- Coupon courses
- License-based courses
These course types are not supported for assignment through the template.
Record completions for external courses
You can use the template to record completion dates for external courses.
This capability helps you:
- Track learner progress
- Maintain accurate learning records
Use the template for completion tracking only, not for assigning external courses.
