Add custom fields to courses, learning paths, and events

Custom fields help you capture additional information for courses, learning paths, and events. For example, you can mirror fields from your HRIS or create additional fields for organizational purposes.

Add a custom field

Navigation: UKG Learning > Academy Workspace > Settings > Training > Custom fields

  1. Select the appropriate tab:
    • Events
    • Courses
    • Learning Paths
  2. Select Add field.
  3. At the Name field, enter a name for the custom field.
  4. Select the field type that best supports your needs.
    • Text: Allows users to enter text.
    • Number: Allows users to enter a numeric value.
    • Date: Allows users to select a date.
    • Datetime: Allows users to select a date and time.
    • Dropdown: Allows users to select a value from a predefined list. After you select this field type, add one or more dropdown options.
  5. Select Save. The custom field is now available when you create or edit a course, learning path, or event.
