The Suggested Groups gadget helps learners discover groups they may be interested in joining.
Set Up the Suggested Groups Gadget
Navigation: UKG Learning > Academy Workspace > Academy Admin > Configuration > General > Homepage Editor
- Select the Homepage Workspace configuration you want to update. You can select one of the default configurations or a custom configuration.
- Select Choose Gadget, then select Suggested Groups.
- Select Add.
- Select Save. The Suggested Groups gadget is added to the selected Homepage Workspace configuration and appears in learners' Homepage Workspace.
Note: The Suggested Groups gadget is available on the web application only.
Suggested Groups gadget functionality
The gadget displays suggested groups that meet the following criteria:
- The group is public.
- The logged-in user has Read permission for the group's category.
- The group was not created by the logged-in user.
- The logged-in user is not already a member of the group.
The gadget displays up to nine suggested groups in a carousel, with three groups displayed per page. Groups are sorted by creation date, from newest to oldest.
Suggested group cards
Each group card displays:
- Group title
- Number of members
- Number of discussion threads
Selecting a group card opens the group's Details page, where learners can view more information and join the group.
Selecting View All opens the Groups page in the Social Workspace with the Available to you filter already applied.
