Add Credits for External Training

To keep track of training occurring outside of the Learning solution, you need to allow learners to upload external certificates and allow them to claim that they have acquired certain credits externally. 

Set Up Credits

To set up your credits, you will need to first create Credit Types and then connect these types to your Credit Rules. You can read more on the process in the Assign Credits to a Course help topic.

Make sure the Credit Type is uploadable. When creating Credit Types, under Uploadable, select Yes

What the End User Sees

Employees and trainees can claim that they have acquired certain credits (from the existing academy credit types) from external training in their ePortfolio.

The Approval Process

Once the user provides all the necessary information, you need to approve or decline these credits. The approved credits will appear on the Credits Dashboard

Navigation: UKG Learning > Academy Workspace > Training Admin > Training Credits > Pending Approvals

  1. Expand the Details dropdown to see any pending credits.

  2. Select Accept or Decline. A pop-up window opens. Enter any additional comments (optional) and select Accept.
  3. You can also revoke these credits from the user. In the Selected State drop-down list, choose Accepted.
  4. Expand the user's Details section.
  5. Select the Revoke button.External_Credits_Revoke.png

 

Reporting on Credits

The awarded credits will appear on the Certificates page.

Navigation: UKG Learning > Learner Workspace > ePortfolio > Certificates

The certificate can be viewed and downloaded here.
