The Learning solution uses workspaces to easily move between the options the academy has to offer. The workspaces are found in the left sidebar. As a learner, the Learner Workspace and the
Social Workspace accessible to you.
The Learner Workspace
The image above shows the options within the Learner Workspace. This workspace is used for anything related to you, as a learner, and where you will spend the most time.
Your Training
- Courses
- Learning Paths
- On-the-Job Training
- In-Class Events
- Live Events
- Microlearning
Courses are a set of lectures that you can follow on your computer or phone. The lectures can be a mix of videos, documents, external websites, On-the-Job Training, Events, Exams, and more. When you finish all lectures in a course, you will have completed this course.
Learning Paths are a collection of courses that usually take longer to complete. When you finish all required courses in a Learning Path, you will complete the Learning Path.
On-the-Job Training is a task-list of items you need to do. This can be a homework assignment you need to upload, a sign-off that needs to be completed, a question you need to answer. After you fill out the On-the-Job training, your manager may need to sign-off as well before it is completed.
Events can be either In-Class or Live. In-Class Events are hosted on an external location, whereas Live Events are done virtually. These can be standalone, or part of a course or learning path.
Microlearning is like flashcards. New cards can be made accessible over a longer period of time, with questions thrown in to make sure you understand the content.
The Training tab, depending on the Academy Settings, can have the following options in the drop-down:
- My Training
- Catalog
- Calendar
- Transitions
My Training shows you all your currently assigned training.
Catalog shows you all training available for you to enroll in.
Calendar is your Learning Calendar. It shows upcoming events and deadlines.
Transitions only shows if it is set up in the Academy. If you are enrolled in a transition profile, the information related to it shows up here.

Career shows you the available Career Paths. It shows you which skills you would need to focus on, and in which training you can earn those skills.
Skills shows the skills in your Academy, whether they are required or not for your role, and which assessments you received.

The Social Workspace
The other workspace available for learners is the Social Workspace. This one focuses on social aspects and friendly competition. Depending on what has been set up, you can find things like your Feed, Groups, and the Game Center here.
The Feed shows you updates and important announcements. Depending on the settings, you can leave messages on the feed, reply to messages, or react to messages.
Your Groups shows the groups you are enrolled in or can enroll in. Groups often created for a specific subject or role, and assignments for training can happen through groups.
The Game Center shows the Leaderboards and Games, if those are set up in the Academy.
Leaderboards are set up in such a way that you can receive points for certain actions you take, such a completing a course, completing an exam, earning a skills, etc. You can see how you are doing compared to others.
Games are similar to leaderboards but work on an individual level. By completing certain actions, you can level up in games, earning badges to show your effort.
Profile and Settings
The last options you have as a learner are your Profile and Settings which you can access by clicking on your profile picture in the top right.
Set your Academy Language.
See your messages.
See your notifications.
Your profile is like your business card, showing basic information about yourself. You have a few settings you can change here, such as your preferred language.
Your settings show you all personal settings you can change.
